Open Gardens Raises over £3000

Floral Tubs

As I’m sure you noticed if you were in the village on Sunday 3 July,  there was a very busy Open Gardens this year. The lovely weather brought just over 400 people along, double the number who came last year.

The day raised  £2,830.76 for National Garden Schemes and£230 for the Parish Council towards the upkeep of the tubs in the village.

Thank you to everyone who contributed by opening their garden, tidying the village, printing maps, putting up signs, taking entrance money, manning the Reading Room, selling plants, and helping with the teas.  And not forgetting everyone who helped by providing all the lovely cakes we had for sale.
