Avon Dassett’s Own Women’s Suffrage Activist!

As we celebrate the centenary of all men and some women obtaining the vote, it is worth remembering that thousands of men and women across the country were active in promoting women’s suffrage – even in the tiny village of Avon Dassett!

Pauline Perry of Bitham Hall attended meetings of the local branch of the Conservative and Unionist Women’s Franchise Association which was led locally and nationally by Lady Marie Willoughby de Broke of Compton Verney.
